Effective June 10, 2026
Fork·Fate is built to be privacy-friendly. There are no accounts, no logins, and no sign-up required to use the Service.
If you enter a ZIP code or tap “Use my location,” we send that location to Google Places to find nearby spots. We do not store your precise device location or link it to your identity.
If you add a selfie to a completion badge, the image is composited into the badge entirely on your device. Your photo is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
• Aggregate, non-personal counters (e.g. total “fates dealt” and “crawls survived”).
• Your IP address, used transiently for abuse and rate-limit protection.
• Community submissions and reports you choose to send.
• If you become a sponsor: your business details and contact email, plus a subscription ID. Payment card data is handled entirely by PayPal — we never see or store it.
• If you join the Android beta: the email address you submit, used solely to add you as a tester on Google Play. You can ask us to remove it at any time.
We store small preferences in your browser (such as sound on/off, your daily streak, and app version) to improve your experience. These stay on your device.
We use Google Places (business data) and PayPal (sponsor billing). Your interactions with those services are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Fork·Fate is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
